We love Free Software, not just because it doesn't usually cost any money, but because it puts us in control of our own computers. On Nuxified.org we are dedicated to helping you and each other make our Free Software experience as satisfying as possible and then share the results. We support GNU/Linux as the most popular free operating system, but welcome issues about any other free operating system such as BSD, OpenSolaris and other more "exotic" ones (Haiku OS anyone?).
We want to help you find Free Software you need, learn how to use it, and help you solve problems that you encounter on the way. In the end, we encourage you to share your experiences by posting a blog entry or a screenshot of your new customized desktop. We use forums to ask and answer questions and discuss various Free Software support issues and ideas as well as simply hang out with each other as a community. Our forums are simple, fast and support tagging of topics.
We write articles that may either be tutorials and reviews further helping you in some aspect of your Free Software computing or just expressing certain ideas and opinions about the state of Free Software in general. You are welcome to submit articles of your own.
On blogs, we write about the cool things we encountered, express quick thoughts on certain Free Software related matters and share some cool tips that you can use with your Free Software.
All the while, on Nuxified.org you wont see advertising bloat, selling out for "higher interests" as well as any other behaviours that contradict the good spirit of a friendly community, such as condoning rude and uncalled for RTFM responses by members on the edge or blasting someone for choosing to use a certain piece of software.
It's all about you, me and the the elder lady next door using Free Software with confidence that there is always someone willing to help on a site run by people who really care about this stuff and making Free Software feel good.
That said, welcome to our Nuxified community!
