ati radeon r200 drivers and r300 drivers

Hey,
I have an ATI radeon 9700, and an ATI radeon 9200, I was wondering which one would be better to play games on, as in Nexuiz and foss games like it
Any ideas anyone?

R200 drivers are more stable as far as I know. The R300 ones are still in development. Now I'm not sure which of these two cards is R300 or R200, but the R200 one should probably be a better choice.
I never had such a card yet though so this is just from what I heard, read etc..
Cool, thanks libervisco
I was wondering as well, what would be the sort of games I would be able to play are, cos I was hoping to play as many first person shooters as possible, thinking of starting a clan but not sure about which game yet so still a bit shaky on that front
Anyone have the card that could tell me what games they are able to play with it (r200)
Thanks again Daniel, mate
I think R200 cards are decent enough to play almost any of the good 3D games. There is a list of some cool games in this sticky thread where you can add others you find.
Aside from Nexuiz there are Cube, Tremulous and some others, but those have nonfree data. A great site to look for games that work on GNU/Linux is HappyPenguin.org though not all listings there are Free Software.
Here is its list of action games which should show shooters too.
If you're up for some nice low-bandwidth and high-quality multiplayer I think Battle For Wesnoth is an excellent choice. It's not really a shooter, but it's a great turn based adventure game with nice graphics.
The 9700 is an r300 (which has a free 3D driver in X.org CVS, which I think will be in FC6) and the 9200 is an r200.
According to this, Nexuiz is mostly supported with the r300 driver.
You use the r200 don't you a_thing?
What is it's performance like please?
