Over the last months there were repeating news about the murder on Nina Reiser by her husband Hans Reiser, known in the community for his work on his filesystems [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reis


If you often switch your Linux computer with ext2 or ext3 filesystem on and off (for example because it is a laptop), it will check the filesystems at boot more often than necessary.


I've been looking for it so I thought that this time it'd be a good idea to post it as a tip for future reference, both for myself and others.
