Chinese Firewall Trick

Found this juicy item. Might help Nuxified's Chinese guests.

This was an amazingly clever note. Using a simple iptables rule and Linux, you can surf wherever you want in China as long as no one sees you.

Welcome back Supermike!
Seems it's getting pretty easy to get around the Chinese great firewall, either with proxies and now with those firewall rules. You can practically nullify all censorship.
I don't think that it'll ever fully work as there will always be people who'll get around that. The point? There is no point to censoring stuff on the net. Those who really want to access something and use some sites will find a way and those are usually determined enough to be the ones Chinese government is probably most worried about anyway.
Thanks for the link Mike.
This content will soon be filtered, if it is not already. You need encryption to get it to china
Thanks, looks like this is just a better solution than Tor (which doesn't work most of the time).
and it's still not filtered here
The link isn't opening for me...is it just me or is the link dead...I'm not getting anything at all and my other websites are loading pretty well...so I don't think that it's my ISP.
It works here.
It works here (US) too.
Looks like it works from Croatia and Luxembourg (over sat proxy) too.
