experimenting, feedback welcome
You've probably noticed that I reversed right and left sidebars. Since before the left sidebar showed on all pages it is now the right one and hence the forums are moved a bit on the left.
What we get with this is that the actual content of forum posts is now more on the center of the page rather than the side which may slightly improve the reading comfortability.
What do you think?
I was also thinking about finding ways to completely remove all sidebars from forums (or possibly other sections as well) leaving the "recently updated topics" and "recent comments" blocks below all content instead in the side and the search box within the header (which would be slightly redesigned to fit). That way forums would be 100% width which may feel most comfortable for many users, especially those who like the way phpbb and vB are usually full width.
All in all I'm looking to improve the whole user experience here and your feedback for that is naturally crucial.
Thanks

Looks nice and gives a wider window for the forums.
I don't see any problems at the moment with the navigation.

Looks good, although at first I was confused about not being logged in and still not seeing the login box.
For those already on Nuxified for a while there would probably be some slight initial confusion about the navigation and login box placements, but if you guys think it's worth it then it's probably better this way.
I personally like it as well. It gives the illusion of more space on forums even though there is actually no more space. The real benefit is in that the forum posts content is more on the center of the screen.
Anyone else has any opinions on this, or I can take your silence as "I don't care either way"?
Btw, while we're at "experimenting", I have added a hovering bar at the bottom of the nuxified window space (it doesn't scroll along with the actual page) which is currently displaying the latest forum topic, but could be used in some other possibly better way. What makes it interesting is that it is always present on the page (as it doesn't scroll with it) so it's essentially always in your reach no matter what part of the page you are reading.
Maybe we could use it for a special navigation of some sort.. any ideas welcome!
Thanks
there seams to be a rendering bug of the bottom Latest forum topic bar in my firefox (it doesn't immediately move when scrolling). I would take a screenshot if it didn't go away when firefox lost focus. You may want to remove it...
That's strange. Firefox is the last browser that should have problems with it, and it works fine in mine (latest version 1.5.0.4) as well as the flock 0.7.1 which I've been using a bit lately.
The bar was actually not supposed to scroll at all, but just be there at the bottom of the window all the time. I'm not sure why would it dissappear when FF window loses focus though.
That xtracker thing shows links to posts to which I don't have access, for example this one:

I am aware of that, and it's already reported as a bug so should be fixed in future releases. That said I don't see it as a severe problem in the meantime.
