Password Protect

Hey all,

I am wondering if this is possible to do. Basically I want my GNU/Linux system to lock when the screensaver comes on which is easy enough to setup.
Instead of having to enter my password I want it to just go to the desktop with no need to enter password given that I have my usb pen in a usb socket on the computer.

I need to understand Linux memory performance. What defines an unhealthy Linux OS as far as memory utilization, paging, amount in paging versus amount in RAM, etc.? There are so many different commands and ways to interpret this, so I wanted to get your viewpoint. Note that my focus in the past thousand years or so of my career have been on programming, and I only took this operations job as a way to keep working after my web dev job was outsourced to another country. That's why I need your help.

The Aurox Linux distribution which is described on our website: Aurox review seems to be dead since a few months (the company developing it ceased the development and the new one that has the rights tto the distro seem to do nothing). Also, the Yoper distro which has been on forever (here is the Yoper review) seems almost dead since... 2.5 years?

Favourite Linux Games?

Hey all,

I've recently changed to Linux, and I enjoy the occasional game (or two).
I was wondering what sort of games that Linux has, and was also wondering what your favourite was.

Please be sure to post the URL to the game also, as I may be interested in buying it Eye

Hardware Hacking

Hey guys, just after a small chat on IRC it seems some of you have hacked away at hardware in different ways, I was just wondering what you have all done?

This could be anything from making a pc inside a tux frame to inserting a webcam into your fridge.

Apt broke...again

Hmm, I seem to have broke apt again somehow. I seem to be good at doing this now heh.
Anyway, basically I performed an update through the 'update' tool, and woke up this morning to a tonne of errors. I re-ran apt-get upgrade and got the following;

This is a multilingual announcement!

English translated into Catalan, new domains and upcoming things

Hello, everyone.

We are glad to announce a new release for, codenamed FireHippopotamus, after more than a month of hard work.

Previously in this forum, about 6 months ago, I talked about how to combine XUL, thttpd, ngs-js (or your favorite CGI command-line language like Perl, Python, or PHP), and perhaps SQLite -- all to create Linux standalone applications (instead of web apps).

Ubuntu World!

Hmm, the whole world seems to be going Ubuntu based!

You have ubuntu cds everywhere. They are nearly as universal as the AOL beverage holder!
