I have an idle 800 MHz P4 system which I'm considering using to point a DV camera under wifi LAN user control, returning the audio-video data. What would be the best distibution to host this application?

My computer comes standard with a Intel 2200BG Wireless card. I have installed ipw2200, no luck and have installed the drivers, no luck. I have installed lots of tools and tried many things but it says I have no card. In my BIOS is says MiniPCI not installed under Wireless (dunno if that is important) and it says Wireless On.

Read a lot on the web about installing my wireless card.

Works fine on the Win2000 side of the dual boot on my Dell Latitude.

Got driver from windows install disk for the Ubuntu side.
