Free SPICE?

well I have the electric circuit course this term, and the teacher requires doing some work using PSPICE (a non-free Windows SPICE2). I know Berkeley's SPICE runs under GNU/Linux, but it's only semi-free, and so is the "ng-spice" project at sourceforge.net (although advertised as"open source", it's actually not). Not sure anyone knows a free SPICE replacement.

Thanks in advance Smiling

Searching the Free Software Directory for "circuit" I found a few programs that might do what you need and maybe be a sufficient replacement for SPICE:

TkGate

GNUCap

ViPEC

I also searched it for SPICE and here's one more of what could be useful to you:

Oregano (cool shots)

Free Software Directory is really useful, and I think most of what is listed there you can trust to be Free Software (though there are some Java dependant apps it seems).

GNUCap seems to be what I needed, looks like I only searched "SPICE" there and missed it. Thanks Smiling
