I thought this may be of interest to some on here. Last week, Daniel was kind enough to take some time and do an email interview with me. I posed some tough questions, and he answered very honestly and entertainingly.

You can read the article on DebCentral.org

Thanks again Daniel!

I loved the way you defined a free culture society in something like 3 or 4 paragraphs. Excellent read.

Well done!

there is an idea
of creating a Free Software directory on Nuxified.org that will let
people browse through various Free Software related resources by both
topic and country anywhere in the world possibly also allowing companies
to buy premium listings which might be of some contribution to the
financial sustainability of Libervis Network. This is not actually my
idea, but an idea of one of the libervis moderators I came to appreciate
and even rely on considerably.

Thanks for the compliment Laughing out loud . You don't need to anonymize me, my name is all over the net already anyway.

Hehe well I just wasn't sure if you'd want to be mentioned like that so I thought you'll know that I'm talking about you anyway. Smiling I'll mention the name next time now though. Smiling

Thanks

Nice interview indeed, I especially like the way you handled GFDL and Open Source vs Free Software issues, standing by and supporting FSF and Free Software based on common sense, and without any zeal.

This is the right way to handle these issues - using common sense is the best way to get people who want to hear to actually listen. And that problem-solving cooperation-calling attitude of yours is what we, as somewhat divided community, need.

Good work :-).

I agree with everyone, and wanted to thank Daniel again for allowing us to do the interview. Hopefully we can continue to work together for the benefit of everyone.

Thanks. Of course.. there is no reason not to cooperate..

Hm, how could we increase forum activity on both DebCentral and here at the same time...

Here's an idea.. signature exchange.. members of both Nuxified.org and DebCentral can have a link in their Nuxified signature pointing to DebCentral and their DebCentral signature pointing to Nuxified. Smiling

Of course, it means more if they're active on both. Smiling

What do you think?

EDIT: This infact opens a whole idea of a kind of cooperative "signature campaign" of exchanging links in signatures in much the same manner as is in my current signature ("friend of debcentral") and every community member of both sites can participate.

I think if people want to do that, then by all means feel free. There are great opportunities for people to get involved with on both sites. Laughing out loud
