These forums are gonna rock!! I know that! And you know why? Of course, because of you! Because from the very start up to now and in the future this is the one Free Software support site where your opinions and suggestions are valued above all else, instead of the interest of whatever owner is at the head at the moment. Someone said to me that forums aren't a democracy. But hell, why not? Sure democracy wont please everyone, but it will please the most instead of only a small elite who happens to agree with the way the site is run. This site is a democracy, a community oriented Free Software support forums where everyone's opinion matters and is taken into account. Many current members can testify to that.
Besides that, we here really do care about Free Software and make sure that the spirit of freedom is kept. There will be no advertising that will contradict this spirit nor will we ever attempt to switch this site to nonfree proprietary software.

No. If you use a self-closing tag in HTML4 on accident, the rest of the page won't render (at least it did in Firefox 1.0.x).

I have made a nuxified wallpaper with the nuxified.org url in it. It can also be used to promote nuxified.org. For example, you can make a screenshot of your desktop while having this wallpaper on it and upload it somewhere on your blog, or you might just share this wallpaper, modify it and make it better and share this modified version while retaining the "www.nuxified.org" url.. etc..

A bit too bright for me. I tried to change the color of the background in inkscape,but then I got a dark background with a rectangle and two eyes on it... I'm not sure what I was doing

I was trying to make a darker version, with a black gradient, but it wasn't really working. The penguin needs to be on a light background to look good..
I might give it another shot though, to have the light box on a dark background and tux in that box. I just need to set colors to match well enough on that dark background.
Just a little suggestion -- would you mind adding an "alt" attribute to the images? That would make them HTML valid. It's good to spread the correct code I believe...
