March 2006 Screenshots
I think we skipped a month, but why not continue with sharing our best screenshots this month in this thread.
Here's mine:
In this shot is the openbox window manager running with xfce4-panel (both top and bottom). You can also see beep-media-player with a bionica_v2 skin, its default visualisation window (stripped from borders) and the awesome little "run command" program called gmrun that I bound to alt-f2 keyboard shortcut. It has tab completion the same way as xterm which I'm taking advantage of in this shot.
The GTK theme used is candido and I'm also using a Tango-Original icon theme. Both can be found on gnome-look.org. I change themes using gtk-chtheme program and set backgrounds using habak -hi /path/to/image command.
It works great.
Now your turn.
Thanks

Using Breezy and GNOME 2.12 at the moment though I think I'll update to Dapper tonight or tomorrow seeing that they're in feature freeze currently; Dapper is rather stable.
As for themeing I'm using clearlooks-gperfection^2, human metacity and the human icons at the moment. Once I update I think I'll make my permanent move to Tango.
Cheers.

My Gentoo PPC install
That looks cool Andrew. Does that mean you're dumping OS X for gentoo on your Mac?
Your profile says only "Using: GentooPPC, FC5 i386" afterall.
Proprietary software is bad, no matter how good it is (applies to OS X). :smt001
Yes, this was a subliminal message.

The big "window borders" are actually caused by the jpeg compression.
If X prints an error, it will be shown in this window (and no, I'm not using tail on a logfile)
(by the way I'll delete this in a few days)
Nice! Is that screen on the desktop?
(by the way I'll delete this in a few days)
We can mirror it for you. Probably best is to try and upload that to nuxified.com and then edit your post to link to that.
(I say "try" though because that site has some memory issues. The whole thing will be revamped with new major version of drupal however.)
It's screen running inside a xfce terminal. And it's attached to the screen session from which I ran startx, so all X errors will be displayed both on the console and X itself (except if the error is fatal, then it will only be displayed on the console of course)
Neat eh?
I'm using evilwm as X window manager by the way.
Neat indeed!
