A new article has been published on PolishLinux.org. It's about using SSH tunnels to bypass unwanted firewall rules. More on: SSH Tunnels: Bypass (Almost) Any Firewall

It's diggable too Smiling

I'm wondering how many of you work in a restricted corporate-network with blocked ports, proxies, etc? I'm fortunately enjoying a lot of freedom (even though I work for a German company), but I heard lots of opposite stories and that's why this article appeared.

Looks like a useful article, although at present I don't have much interest in SSH tunneling. I dugg it. Smiling

Great article! Ssh tunnels

Great article! Ssh tunnels aren't only useful for breaking the firewall at work, you can also use them to break your own firewall in a very secure and precise way. For example you might temporarily give a friend access to a service running behind your firewall. Of course you could also modify your firewall configuration to achieve the exact same thing, but I for one dislike touching a known good firewall configuration.
