beryl and nvida GE force white cube

I am working on kubuntu 7.04 and installing Beryl. I have ran into the whit cube problem. I am a novice and have tried the top 3 ways listed on the net to fix things, all though code in the terminal. Can anyone help?

You should maybe try installing compiz-fusion, beryl's successor. â€œOn the netâ€ is highly imprecise â€” could you provide a link ?
