Compiz and Beryl merged into Compiz Fusion?

I heard a while ago that this might happen, but I somehow missed the news of it actually happening. But after finding this story it appears that it's true and that there is now a merged system called "Compiz Fusion", which sounds quite interesting.
So.. has anyone tried it? Does it run any better? I'll probably try it later when I have more time. I imagine it should run just as fine as beryl, considering that beryl ran fine enough for me lately to be able to run it almost most of my time.

I am using it now. Packaging is scarce (I believe there are ubuntu packages somewhere), but compiling wasn't too difficult. I cloned the git repositories compiz, fusion/compizconfig/libcompizconfig, fusion/compizconfig/compizconfig-python, fusion/compizconfig/ccsm, fusion/decorators/emerald, fusion/decorators/emerald-themes and installed them with ./autogen && make && make install triplets.
Cool. I might look for an Ubuntu package. Otherwise I think I'll just wait till it's officially in the repos. It'll be with gutsy at the latest. And my beryl works great currently.
I use the tuxfamily repos.

As for how it runs, I have problems with it being slow and freezing occasinally, but that's the drivers for graphics card not being up to scratch. (Time for a new graphics card methinks).
Thanks.
Btw, what graphics card is that? Radeon?
