OfflineOne of my favourite game genres are space strategies. Probably still the favourite space strategy game I played was Star Control 3 (long back when I was on PowerMacintosh) and now the Star Control 2 clone The Ur-Quan Masters which is Free Software. I really fell in love with that Star Control style but I haven't ever finished the UQM game mostly because of lack of time (and it's pretty hard to get through actually). I also haven't played it for a long time because of limited time, but also the download is quiet big for modem (more than 100 MB).
Still, can someone recommend a good space strategy game that is fairly lightweight, but still interesting to play? If it is great maybe I find some time to relax with it over weekends.
