Hello, everyone.
We've just got an email whereby a person suggests us to put a visible link to the download section, in all the pages (including the homepage):
Hello,
There's a new site in the web looking a bit similiar to your site:
My friend told me to contact with you to tell one thing they do right - there's a "download" button in menu (leading to short, comprehensible list of distros), visible from the main site. Just as Firefox do on their website.
Please try to use this idea at your site. People coming to your site out of the depths of Internet should be better guided to start experiencing the famuos GNU/Linux taste as soon as it's possible, not just read through looking for some Real Meat (TM). =}
I think it makes sense. I think many of our visitors already have intentions to install the operating system, so I think it'd be great if we had highly visible, direct link to http://www.getgnulinux.org/switch_to_linux/try_or_install/ from every page (although not in the main menu; perhaps in a separate button).
What do you think?
Cheers.
Gustavo Narea.
What's GNU/Linux? Why not Windows? Find it out at GetGNULinux.org.

Good! Good! Good!
I absolutely support this idea. That way we provide our visitors an easy way to get the images they need. Thus they don't need to spend time searching by themselves, which may cause some people abandoning the thought.
