Hello everyone,

I just published my article called DRM, Vista and your rights. It's been revised and I believe it's quite ready but I think it still needs some polishing as far as the language is concerned. If anyone had some time to read it and point out some errors (either grammar or content-related), please feel free to drop it here or to me personally. I would like this text to reach as many as readers possible since it covers things that we all should be concerned with. Thus, the message needs to be clear and easy to get.

If you think the article is too... I dunno.. pathetic in some way, point this out too. I don't want to sound like a fanatic or anti-MS freak.

Well, just tell me what you think Smiling

Borys

I've read it last night and I think it's one of the best articles I've read on that subject. I'll publish it as featured news on Libervis.com today as it fits right in with the theme.

I found a few spelling errors I can't remember out of hand right now, mostly missing letters or accidentally typed one letter instead of another, like "it" instead of "is" and such. Chances are you fixed that already. I'll have to go through it again to check. Smiling

Looks like someone put it

Looks like someone put it on Digg again, under a different title: http://digg.com/linux_unix/Welcome_to_The_Era_of_DRM
Wonder if this is legal...

I don't see a problem with

I don't see a problem with that. It happened to me before. If someone likes it but missed to digg it when it was on the first time they can submit again with a possibly different description and a better time, better category and it might fare better. As long as the same submitter doesn't submit twice.

I see. I noticed that badvista.org put a link to my article on their website. Perhaps that's how more people hear about it.

Yeah that should be good too. Your article is quite relevant to their campaign. Smiling

Brilliant

This is a brilliant article Borys! Very well organised and clear.
I like the use of the cartoon and the balanced links at the end of the article, too.

Two remarks:
- Peter Gutmann's article is now in html format. Much more readable: http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/pubs/vista_cost.html
- "what says XXX" should be "what XXX says", I think (but my English is not reliable... check with a native speaker)

Well done.

Olivier.

OK, the article has been dugg and slashdotted about the same time. What do we need more? A link on CNN perhaps? Sticking out tongue
