Im having a problem after i installed fedora core 5.0 yesterday. when the system is loading the curser is shown but when the desktop appears, it's gone! i can move the mouse until the invisible curser finds a program then the program applet hightlights so i can open it. i went into the mouse properties and tried to find where i can activate a curser but theres nothing in that program to do that because theres supposed to be a curser in the first place!
any help will be appreciated.
thanks,Jim

Whoa, that's freaky.
What desktop environment are you using? If you're using KDE, try changing the cursor theme in kcmshell mouse. There should be a way to do this in other DEs too.

This actually happens to me sometimes after starting gxine, totem or such movie players (and possibly other programs) and it doesn't quit properly. Mouse just becomes invisible.
I never figured out the problem unfortunately though, but I know it happened in both KDE and GNOME.
Whatever desktop manager or window manager you are using try another one and see if it happens there too (if you haven't already)..
