What firewall port(s) do I need to leave open for my Samba File Share to be exposed? Note I don't need to share printers or make this thing into a domain controller -- just share files.

IIRC it's 137-139 and 445.

Although this topic nearly slept for a month already I'd like to give a little more detail on that.
The ports for SMB are the following:
UDP/137
UDP/138
TCP/139
TCP/445
