Hello.
I found this forum through a link on another website and I figured I would join since GNU/Linux is my passion and this forum looks nice.
A little about me:
My favorite distros are Arch Linux & Slackware. I have been a GNU/Linux user since 1999 and it is the only operating system I use on my machines.

Hehe indeed. Now there are infact more than three full fledged operating systems you can call "free as in freedom".

More than that now!
BSD
Reactos
GNU/HURD
Syllable iirc
Haiku
GNU/Linux
OpenSolaris (well...nearly)
And more on freeos.com

Yeah! Haiku is still in development though, but I can't wait till it's finished and usable. I absolutely love what Haiku is supposed to become, a BeOS like desktop operating system of the future.
But I guess I'll have to wait a decade for it to be what GNU/Linux is today as in usability, supported hardware and availability of software programs.

Actually, Haiku was really appealing to me too, the software is quite good, many applications available at www.bebits.com although they may not have any software for your modem
They wont take 10 years, we will be on 128-bit computing by then!
Anyways,
Great OS
