Linux and gambling

Hey folks,

I'm just back from my holiday in the US and have seen something really cool.
One day I was walking through the casino in our hotel (you might have guessed we've been in Las Vegas, but just for a few days, the rest of our holiday was spent in Los Angeles) and could see one of these machines starting up. It wasn't a slot-machine, was something-else, like some sort of computer-poker or something like that.
And there I could see that this machine was booting Linux. I didn't see which distro or even kernel, but it clearly was Linux.
If I would have had my cam with me at that time I would have taken a pic, I always take pics when I see something like that. Somewhere I still should have a shot of a bluescreen in London-Heathrow (which was still here, or again, when I went back to HK 3 weeks later).

Just wanted to let you know. ;-)

Good to hear about

Good to hear about GNU/Linux running anywhere, even in casinos. Smiling Maybe people will have a little more luck with it then Eye

Btw, since source is free, it really can be harder to modify software to scam gamblers in some way..
