4 years later I'm back to all mighty slackware. I installed version 13.37 and saw something I wasn't used to on other distros: the Virtual console Login prompt (text mode, not GDM or XDM etc) started immediately on my second screen (hdmi) and until then I was used to having to start X to use my second screen. How is that acomplished? Just want to now how I got very curious. This way things are much more convenient and elegant I use a laptop with a hdmi screen plugged in.
