Removing "who's new" box?

I am considering removing the "who's new" block on the right, below the "who's online" box. Although it probably wont help too much, some spammy people are registering just to be seen there. Well, by removing the block we lower their incentives.
I would put a "latest member" line in the block below (which lists some statistics) which would only display the latest one who joined, and no more. This is how most other forum sites have it anyway.
I think removing this box doesn't do any harm. It's just an information nobody really needs.
If somebody new posts here we can also see this by just looking at his postcount and then welcome him in our ranks.
Changes done. And we've freed up a bit of space there.
