Hi,

I wondered what you guys thought of this site: http://teensonlinux.org , which i've helped set up.

What do you think of the site, and the idea behind it?

Do you think that this site could work with GGL in some way. We already link to you in the link section, and I think it would also be nice to have one of the garphical links.

BTW, we've got a new logo to replace the current one: http://teensonlinux.org/components/com_fireboard/uploaded/images/newnewlogo.png

I yesterday had a quick

I yesterday had a quick look on the site and I think it might be a good idea, though there doesn't seem so much activity yet.
What I really loved was that through this site I found the topic about that book about drug-taking and drinking horses which really was hilarious. :-)

As said, I think the site has potential.
I've also seen a topic mentioning a maximum-age and suggests that people get excluded from the community when they turn 20. There I just wondered what happens when the admin turns 20?

No, not much activity yet.

No, not much activity yet. We need to work out how to make people aware that its there.

BTW, the age rule was not my idea. I don't really know what will happen. Hopefully someone younger would take over the site.

Nice project. I suggest:

Nice project.

I suggest: match colors better. The green and the blue clash a little. Also, give the logo a little polish (it looks a little rough around the eyes of the penguin).

That's pretty stupid. The age rule is nice (allows you to make sure you keep your public) but it doesn't mean someone over 19 shouldn't run the site. Most products and services related to teenagers are run/designed by non-teens. No need to cut on the moderator's age too ;-)

All in all, a good idea. This can go very far if it's well-managed.
To be honest I'm not sure there is a good reason to work directly with GGL - but in the future if the community builds up, we could work together on a teen-orientated version of GGL.

I hope TeensOnLinux works out nicely.

Olivier.

Andrew linked me to this

Andrew linked me to this site before and I thought it was a nice idea if there will be enough interest among teenagers. I suppose there may be if the site specifically targets what usually attracts them and is perhaps a bit more loosen up than usual. Might be interesting.

I also agree that the age limit doesn't have to be so strict. You can remain a teen in heart even after 20 I guess. Eye
