A few times I have used my screen as a lightbox, to copy images into drawings. For big drawing this simply is a bad idea, so I figure I should ask Santa Claus for a drawing tablet Smiling . So I told Santa about this, and he says these things are expensive and don't work with Linux. I don't think that's true, although I'm sure there must be a few out there that are indeed expensive and not suitable for Linux.

I bet some of you have tablets, what is your advice? I don't need anything fancy, just a pressure sensitive pen.

I'm not sure what kind of hardware your looking for; is it a pen and a pad you plugin to your laptop as an input device so you can have pen like drawing on your laptop? or is it a tablet PC your talking about?

the pen and tablet thing to plug into a computer. Oh, that reminds me it needs to be USB (or firewire?), otherwise I can't plug it into my laptop.
