Welcome aboard Nuxified.org and into this dedicated support forum for GetGNULinux.org.
I don't quite understand your question though. If you're asking why isn't GetGNULinux.org mentioning OS X then well the answer should be obvious. Not only is it not Free Software, but the site is just about GNU/Linux, not something else, not even BSDs.
Actually I'm hoping to see GGL expanded to target users of that OS. Whenever I speak to a mac user I'm left with the impression that they (somehow) think they are excluded from this discussion simply because they're not using Windows. They fail to see how enslaving their computing environment really is. Sorry for any confusion, I'm just hoping to see a "Why not OS X" or even "Why not a MAC?" (though the latter gets a bit harder to deal with given that the line between software and hardware has now been crossed) added to the site.
Oh I see now. Now that you explained it, looks obvious.
We've mentioned the subject before actually, I think, and there may be some mention of OS X on the site already. I am not sure yet. Olivier (AKA ariadacapo, the owner of that site) would know more about this. If I remember correctly there are some plans on targeting OS X users as well.
But it definitely is a good point. However, it is probably more logical at this point to make more fuss about Windows since it's so much more popular and widely used than OS X, but at least a mention or possibly a page explaining OS X shortcomings wouldn't hurt too.
Actually, your response makes no sense. What's the point of GGL's "Why not Windows?" if you can so easily discard the possibility of "Why not OS X?". From the standpoint of free software, there is no difference; just different audiences.
There is indeed no difference in terms of freedom for the user. The difference is in number of people who are deprived of this freedom. Windows simply has a stranglehold over more people than OS X.
It's probably not so much an issue of differentiating between the two in terms of which is more important *not* to use as it is an issue of focusing efforts more efficiently. It might as well be that GetGNULinux.org will at some point feature a full parallel to all Windows related pages, for OS X users.
I wouldn't mind that at all. But the site is still pretty much a work in progress and suggestions are always welcome. Olivier is handling it all very well and has shown appreciation for all community input so far, as I am sure he will for yours.
About freedom of choice, just a remark:
With GGL.o I'm not trying to change people's mind if they're not willing. Just providing info if they look for it. Otherwise the topic has pretty much been answered in my opinion.
About the original topic (Page about Mac OSX):
Thanks for commenting windowsrefund... Such a page is indeed planned (it has been so since the website started) but as for now it's not top priority (since Mac users are still a minority).
Right now I am concentrating on a new app page, plus changing the recommended distros, plus the French translation, plus a new "link buttons" page. When all this will be done, the Mac page will be higher in the list, but this won't be before January I'm afraid.
If anyone wants that page done quicker, they can always do so in the develop wiki.

Well said... I experienced this several times... this makes the task harder and given the small number of Mac users this is a "low-paying" job, thus the other priorities. It would be done already would I be able to work on GGL.o full-time, but right now I can only concentrate on the top projects =)

So, what's the ball to roll?
Hmmmm. Is this just another baiting of OS-X fans? ugh! it's been done enough, imo
Thanks for the welcome Libervisco.

WindowsRefund:
Please. No offense intended, but your statement:
They fail to see that their computing environment as being just as restricted as that of a Windows user.
We know. It is your assumption that we don't know and that is offensive.
We know.
We know.
We know.
We choose to use it anyhow.
We also, in many many cases, also choose to use GNU/Linux distros as well.
This topic serves no purpose.

libervisco,
Ok cool. Glad to hear it's been mentioned and is on the radar.
