Btw, if this starts getting some attention before we decide on a domain name this thread will be restricted to members-only. Let's just say we want to prevent someone else taking our domain name before we do.
What this site is basically going to be is a support forums for Free Software (as in freedom) and GNU/Linux especially (as its flag OS). So in my opinion domain names that point either to GNU/Linux or Free Software in general should be suitable.
My personal favourites at the moment (cause I'm really tired to have a real favourite) is LinuxNative.org. But infact all of the above would probably be nice.

I think nuxified is a good idea, because not all *nix OS's are open source ( Though the ones that are, are better). Also, the fact that some Linux OS's arent free, but are Open Source :s
LinuxNative.org -> I don't get it. What is the "native" supposed to mean? The first thing I think of when reading NameOfAnOS + native is binaries for proprietary operating systems. As in "this program is windows native".
FreeOSForums.org -> Boring, but it describes exactly what the site is about. And if you write it all lower case, it looks ugly: freeosforums.org. Freeo's forums? Third choice.
Nuxified.org -> Only if there is close integration with nuxified.com. Second choice.

By the way, if you want the best results from a poll, you shouldn't tell which option is your favourite.

Well, nuxified.org would be advertised as an official forum for Nuxified.com, but then again it's official network wide so.. Maybe having similar name wouldn't be such a problem if it is clearly stated that this is a separate site although recommended for GNU/Linux and Free Software support questions and discussions.

There is a way to resolve the problem of similar names, to get a domain name like nuxifiedforums.org. This way confusion would be pretty much avoided and nuxified.org could still stay as a redirect name that would work for nuxifiedforums.org as official.
With the identical logo, and a similar design, everything should work out fine if nuxified.com has a link to nuxified.org ("Need help getting nuxified? Visit the nuxified.ORG forums") and .org also has a link to .com . Actually that's better for both sites :smt004

Almost. If you guys want to change it I can fix it up.
NuxifiedForums.org has just been ordered for registration. It should be settled in within a day as a default domain name here. Nuxified.org will work at least as a redirect.
I'll take a look at the Tango guidelines and see what I can do to make the logo fit it.
Alright here's what we have. NuxifiedForums.org hasn't been made default domain name for the overall site because that would apparently require moving everything to the new account under the new domain name, but I think this will work good, if not even better:
Nuxified.org is the official domain name for the site and once we have a portal running will point to that portal as its homepage. NuxifiedForums.org points to http://www.nuxified.org/forums and can be used as a shortcut domain to forums. Also, forums.nuxified.org works as well.
I think it's a nice symbiosis. Both domains work and both are valid.
