OK,

I have a sparc64 (or ultrasparc) and was looking for a nice and small distro (linux, please) to dual boot with solaris, because freebsd isnt too happy about a few things in my pc, and the fact that i have no net connection means it is a LOT harder to fix when i have to keep running up the stairs all the time.

So, it has to be 1cd or less, come with python, and a GUI, and maybe a few little emu's (but not essential)

HAS TO BE SPARC64

So...what shall it be?

Well, debian is a good candidate then. I'm sure it has a sparc version and it is a rock solid distribution. You could use testing if stable is too old for you.

I'm going to have to agree. Go for Debian.
